Lock the selected object / 2.11.x

This was a request from a customer. We would like to request to add a lock icon to the layer palette. For example, in the attached file, we want to lock the light blue layer so that it cannot be edited, even if other layers are moved or their colors are changed. I think it would be helpful to have a lock icon next to the layers, in addition to the trash bin icon.

    Hello,

    thanks for your input.

    May I ask some more questions to understand please:

    Is it primarily that contours of a layer should be fixed, so they can not be moved? In a sense of having a jig maybe?

    The change of the layer and the parameters is anyhow something which requires and indented action.

    So the use case for this is not 100% clear.


    Could you maybe give some more input?
