We'd love to know what you think of Ruby®
Dear Trotec and Ruby Team,
I would like to suggest introducing a feature that would allow laser engravers to resume operation after an error, device failure, or loss of connection with the computer. This would be particularly useful for the Trotec Q400.
On multiple occasions, I have lost an entire sheet of material during a long engraving job because the machine unexpectedly lost its connection to the computer. Without the ability to resume the job from where it was interrupted, the entire process has to be restarted, often resulting in wasted material, time, and money.
I believe that a feature that automatically saves the progress of a job and allows it to resume from the last completed section would be a significant improvement for users. Similar functionality is already available in even budget-friendly 3D printers, so I think it would be worth considering implementing it in laser engraving systems as well.
I hope you will consider this suggestion. Such a feature could significantly improve machine reliability, reduce material waste, and make everyday operation much more efficient and user-friendly.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to seeing this feature potentially implemented in a future update!
